The estimated base salary range for this role is $95,000 to $115,000 CAD per year.  
Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience and other relevant factors

Reporting to the Director of HR for Operations, the Human Resources Manager partners closely with manufacturing and operations leaders to support multiple facilities across the U.S. and Canada, including Ontario and Long Island, NY. This role plays a critical part in driving workforce strategy, employee engagement, and compliance while supporting day‑to‑day HR needs across a dynamic manufacturing environment. The HR Manager leads key people initiatives that enable operational excellence, continuous improvement, and organizational growth, including supporting change initiatives and integrating newly acquired businesses in alignment with company values and culture

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as a trusted HR business partner to plant and operations leadership, supporting performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement.
  • Lead and oversee HR activities across multiple manufacturing locations, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial labor laws.
  • Drive workforce planning, staffing, employee relations, performance management, and talent development for both salaried and hourly teams.
  • Support organizational change initiatives, including Lean efforts, continuous improvement, and acquisition integrations, with strong change‑management practices.
  • Coach and develop site leadership and front‑line supervisors, providing guidance on people‑related decisions and long‑term staffing strategies.
  • Analyze HR metrics and workforce data to identify trends, root causes, and actionable improvement plans.
  • Lead succession planning, turnover management, training, and leadership development initiatives to build a strong internal pipeline.
  • Manage and develop HR team members, including HR Generalist and Recruitment/Special Projects roles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a multi‑shift manufacturing environment, including leadership of HR staff.
  • Authorization to work in both Canada and the United States to support collaboration across our Toronto and New York office
  • Broad, well‑rounded HR knowledge across employee relations, staffing, compensation, benefits, compliance, and workforce management.
  • Strong knowledge of Ontario Labour Standards; familiarity with U.S. federal employment laws is a plus.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms (such as SuccessFactors) and Microsoft Office tools
