Job Output
The daily guidance will come from the Technical Services Manager and/or a designated mentor. There will be a project based focus on improvement to a key plant focus area, communication with the business operations support teams on good science practices, and collaboration with the Hilliard production operations teams.
The work assigned to this individual will be integral to plant goals and objectives. Plant management will be supportive during the internship and interested in results achieved. You will be asked to summarize the projects and learnings to the factory leadership team at the conclusion of your internship.
Minimum Requirements & Preferred Qualifications:
- Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
- Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, cumulative and within major
- Must be in junior year, or have completed junior year during internship.
Skills & Abilities
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the specific ability to work in teams
- Ability to complete work autonomously throughout the day
- Capability to build relationships with other functions, which will be essential with such activities as teaching teams and transferring knowledge
- Well-developed computer skills in a Windows environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office with emphasis in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Demonstrated leadership skills, ability to work independently and make autonomous decisions when necessary
- Unlimited authorization to work in the United States
- Must be able to climb ladders and walk catwalks, etc., in order to monitor, direct and validate equipment and installations
